The Magazine

Kat Bazeley and BlueBarn.life

Kat Bazeley, founder of BlueBarn, is a Dorset based seamstress working towards a more sustainable slow fashion industry. Her localised production, and ethically sourced natural fibre materials go hand in hand with her timeless designs to make BlueBarn a long lasting and planet friendly fashion choice.

Ceramics with Cliff Ellis

Cliff Ellis is a Devon based ceramicist working in his pottery studio at home. As well as teaching ceramics classes, he supplies our shop with a range of hand thrown, sometimes wood-fired, unique and rustic ceramic tableware. We spoke to Cliff about his journey into pottery and his thoughts on this heritage craft.

Make a donation.

Toby has spent a few years fundraising and collecting donations to build a replacement school in a village on the South West coast of Madagascar. The Vezo people who reside here had their previous school blow down the year before his visit, prompting his drive to collect the funds for a new school building. Three years into this push they have two new classroom buildings and three teachers. Your continued support helps to support the teachers and maintain the success of the school.

Give the Gift of Craft

The perfect present for the tricky-to-buy-for person that supports local and international craftspeople. Allow your friend or loved one to pick their own hand-crafted gift, lovingly pre paid for by you.

A gift card of artisanal homewares, nature books and sustainable fashion choices, all sent from the edge of Dartmoor. The Craftmonger gift card can be spent on heritage craft, unique handmade gifts, or any other products found on our Devon based online store.
