Ambrose's Wooden Spatulas

£17.00

Ambrose’s spatulas are hand crafted from materials locally sourced in Devon where Ambrose actively manages a woodland where he can coppice, fell and replant trees. Each unique spatula is finished with a durable food safe oil. He uses the Japanese Shou-Sugi Ban (burnt wood finish) to create the lightly toasted spatulas. Crafted from Ash and Cherry wood.

Ambrose uses a portable sawmill that allows him to source his wood locally as well as a Woodmizer LT15 bandsaw mill. Winter storms sadly bring down many old trees. Often trees are cut up for firewood without respecting the value of the wood that lies inside. Sourcing his material in this way allows for him to use unseasoned green wood that is great to work with and steam bend. Approximately 26cm long.

(They come out each come out slightly differently. If you like a particular one in the first picture of three, please say ‘left, middle or right’- in the additional notes section when ordering!)
