Gintsugi / Kintsugi -  The Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with urushi lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered silver or gold. Mend your favourite broken pot with the expertise and guidance of Kira Smith from Precious Scars Studio. Bring or borrow a broken pot and bring it to life once more with beautiful scars that tell the story of its journey. Choose between mending with silver (included in ticket price), or with gold for an added cost of £20. 

Morning and Afternoon sessions available.

  • Book on to one of two sessions running on this date. There is a Morning and an Afternoon session.

  • This workshop is 2.5 hours in duration. 

  • Lovely organic tea's and biscuits will be provided and the Craftmongers cafe will open for the purchase any additional refreshments or cake.

  • The minimum age for this workshop is 16 years.

  • The mended pots from this course are designed to be decorative pieces and aren’t food safe.
